I travelled to Japan from 22 March to 3 April 2018, coinciding with the cherry blossom season. I flew into Tokyo, then took the shinkansen to Kyoto a few days later. My friend Wei Chiang, who was studying in Tokyo, joined me for this leg, and we travelled together to Osaka as well. We parted ways when we returned to Tokyo, where I spent a few more days before flying home.
On this trip, I did a lot of urban exploration, checked out a few attractions, and ate a wide variety of Japanese food.
